საქართველო (Georgia)
When Tim Dirven contacted me to join him on a travel to Georgia, I was expecting a war-torn country, ugly and poor, where the scars of a decade long power struggle between the West and the East was palpable on the streets. I pictured rusty tanks, Soviet babushka’s and grim looking dedushka’s.
True, I did meet some wonderfully aged Georgians during my visit. More importantly, I discovered an amazing country – a true bridge between Europe, Asia and Russia. Enjoy the photos, just keep in mind that they don’t do justice to the beauty of this place.
