That day, fate and outrageous fortune made me the photographer of the Royal Escort, responsible for the protection of the King during official ceremonies.

A truly incredible experience, witnessing the camaraderie and the dedication of these hard-working police officers and horse-masters.

Two big challenges that day: maneuvering through the crowds and very unpredictable weather. Indeed, harsh sunlight quickly changed into pouring weather, to become windy and sunny again in the blink of an eye.

To be honest, because I had worked several intense and tiring weeks, I had planned to do nothing all weekend to rest, but when I received the question to photograph the Escort several days before the event, I simply couldn’t refuse!
